Catch-ups, Many a Hen's Night . . . No time for details!

Sal and I enjoyed a fantastic catch-up over Korean BBQ.

The ever-gorgeous Marni as we blew bubbles and people gazed
over Rundle St for Peach's Hen's Night.

The lovely bride-to-be seemingly enjoying be made a fool of as people nibbled at the lollies sewn to her chest - 10 yrs time = 5 kids without hats ?

Yet another Hen's night! All in the same week! It's a bit much but I figure that it's good preparation for the fact that they're on subsequent days next weekend!

Pip and I made sure that Sair's night was all class . . . well mostly. Heidi was a most welcome addition and a great time was had by all. Especially the bull.

Sair gets concerned when we tell her that she is about to be shorn or possibly dressed like one of the daring Indian ladies with jewels dripping from their navels and other places.

I'm off to the Mt for my Nan's 90th!

3 days in one and 30 yr old sherry

Thursday morning I had a multitude of things I wanted to get done but I struggled to get up (again) even after not watching Star Trek til all hours and getting to bed at a decent hour following Lawn Bowls and a late night snack of sushi that Kana brought home from her new work at Sushi Train on Gouger St. I got a few of them done and despite being on the go for hours then managed to be late (again) for my Politics lecture - oops. But this afford me the fine opportunity of seeing MikeyG who was also doing the trendy thing and running late to his lecture. A strange aspect of study for me this semester is my status as an Arts student; for the first time in my 9 or so years at uni (has it really been that long ??) I don't have to run all over campus but simply make my way about the labyrinthine stairwells of Napier and Ligertwood.
Then I enjoyed the benefits of studying at a uni in the CBD and decent vego cafes by enjoying a bite in the now airy confines of Joy Division or whatever. We've decided next on the list will have to be the Vego place next door which apparently offers up chips and not steak!

Also, Ben, I've heard about another highly recommended Laksa place for Laksa Lunch!!

I stayed awake with much difficulty during my Asian Studies lecture after finally locating it in the revamped LG of Napier - do my head in why don't you ??!
Then dashed up to see Bel at the Writer's Centre to bug her for things for the Youth Week Writers thingo that I mentioned in a previous post.
Back for Asian Studies Tute, where I had a chance to get to know some of the other students - three of whom are exchange students - 2 from America and one from Tokyo.
Then I put on my riding clobber and headed to work . . and so began the next busy part of my day.
Had to spend a fair bit of time restocking the shelves with PreFrames, but we were fairly quite so that was fine. Of course, come 8pm things picked up and I had a man and his son looking through catalogues til not long before 9 so yet again I was out late. Also had a whole lot of sms coming all night which was a highlight but made for chaotic thought.

Dinner the visiting Sal tonight.
An invite to Pip's for late night pantry raiding.

So I hooned off home on my bike, had some dinner at 10 (wayyy healthy) then James, Kana and I popped over to Pip's to enjoy some surprisingly lovely sherry and conversation (it was the alcohol that was unexpectedly good, not the company, which never fails to be first-rate).
This whiled away a good number of hours til I suddenly realised I was falling asleep where I stood with weariness.
So off we trundled home, another day thoroughly seized and trumped. Though I notice it was well past 10:30 and housies were getting grumpy at a lack of action before we made a start on this fine day!

Big crazy weekend up of catch-ups with friends now living rurally or interstate, film festival, fringe and clipsal related nuttiness, Peach's Hen's night and work. It's good to have some time to relax!
